The Canyon is a striking crack in the reef formed by ancient geological movement, a short drive south of Dahab. You dive over a coral garden to the canyon mouth, then explore the fissure and its famous glassfish 'dome' of shimmering light. It's one of Dahab's most-loved dives and works for a wide range of divers.Der Canyon ist ein markanter Riss im Riff, entstanden durch geologische Bewegungen, kurz südlich von Dahab. Über einen Korallengarten geht es zum Canyon-Eingang, dann durch die Spalte mit ihrer berühmten Glasfisch-'Kuppel' aus schimmerndem Licht. Shore entry over a reef flat, then a sandy slope to the canyon. The rim sits around 20 m and is easy; going inside the deeper canyon is an advanced option. Requires an Advanced Open Water certification and good buoyancy — the guided dive includes the deeper canyon.
